Patient Responsibilities

In general, the duties and obligations that patients and their relatives must fulfill before and after applying to a healthcare institution are defined as PATIENT RESPONSIBILITIES.

PATIENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Individuals should do their best to take care of their own health and follow the recommendations given for a healthy life.
• In simple cases, individuals should carry out their own self-care.
• The patient is required to inform the relevant authorities in a timely manner of any changes in social security status and personal information.
• The patient must provide complete and accurate information about their complaints, previous illnesses, whether they have received any inpatient treatment, any medications they are currently taking, and all other information related to their health.

COMPLIANCE WITH POLYCLINIC RULES

• The patient must comply with the practices and procedures of the healthcare institution to which they apply.
• The patient must cooperate with healthcare professionals during treatment and care.
• If the patient benefits from services at a healthcare institution that operates by appointment, they must attend the appointment at the scheduled date and time and notify the relevant unit of any changes.
• The patient must respect the rights of polyclinic staff, other patients, and visitors.
• The patient is responsible for compensating for any damage caused to polyclinic property or materials.
• The patient should carefully listen to recommendations regarding their treatment and medications and ask about anything they do not understand.
• If the patient is unable or unwilling to comply with recommendations regarding their treatment, they must inform the healthcare professional.
• The patient must ensure that they correctly understand the treatment and post-treatment care plan and state clearly if they do not understand any part of it.

The patient is personally responsible for any consequences arising from refusing the proposed treatment or failing to follow medical recommendations.
