When you apply to receive healthcare services at our hospital or during your inpatient treatment, you may report any issues you encounter by applying to the Patient Rights Unit located on the first floor. You may also submit your suggestions and complaints by using the suggestion/complaint boxes.
When you apply to a healthcare institution to receive healthcare services, your rights are as follows:
Right to Benefit from Services in General:
You have the right to benefit from healthcare services within the framework of justice and equity. You have the right to receive services without discrimination based on race, language, religion or sect, gender, philosophical belief, economic or social status.
Right to Information:
You have the right to learn about all types of healthcare services and facilities available and to request all information regarding your health status verbally or in writing.
Right to Choose and Change the Healthcare Institution and Personnel:
You have the right to choose and change the healthcare institution and to benefit from the healthcare services provided at the facility of your choice; to learn the identities, duties, and titles of physicians and other healthcare professionals providing services; and to choose or change them.
Privacy:
You have the right to receive all types of healthcare services in an environment that respects confidentiality.
Refusal, Discontinuation, and Consent:
You have the right to refuse treatment, request its discontinuation, to have your consent obtained prior to any medical intervention, and to benefit from services within the scope of your consent.
Security:
You have the right to receive healthcare services in a safe environment.
Fulfillment of Religious Obligations:
Within the capabilities of the healthcare facility and in accordance with measures taken by the administration, you have the right to fulfill your religious obligations.
Respect for Human Values, Dignity, and Comfort:
You have the right to receive healthcare services in a respectful, attentive, and caring manner, in a friendly, polite, and compassionate environment where all hygienic conditions are ensured and all disturbing factors such as noise are eliminated.
Right to Receive Visitors and Have a Companion:
Within the procedures and principles determined by the healthcare institution, you have the right to accept visitors and, in accordance with legislation and the facility’s capabilities, to have a companion if deemed appropriate by your physician.
Right to Application, Complaint, and Legal Action:
In case of violation of your rights, you have the right to exercise all forms of application, complaint, and legal action within the framework of the applicable legislation.
